According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News agency and Daily Sabah, Turkish President Recep Tayyip erdoğan hosted Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Libya’s Prime minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh today in Istanbul.
The tripartite meeting, held at Dolmabahçe Palace, focused on the political process aimed at restoring stability in Libya, as well as addressing migration flows.
According to a statement released by the Libyan government, “The meeting was convened to address shared strategic issues, notably economic and developmental cooperation in the Mediterranean region, strengthening partnerships in energy and oil sectors, and tackling irregular migration along with it’s impact on regional stability and security.”
The statement concluded that this gathering forms part of ongoing collaboration between Libya, Turkey, and Italy to promote common approaches that serve regional interests while supporting stability and international cooperation.
