Latest Statement from IAEA Director General on Iran

The Director General of ⁣the International Atomic Energy ⁢Agency commented on ‌Iran, stating that ‌Tehran has expressed willingness to resume⁤ certain technical negotiations.

According‍ to the english ⁢section of webangah News Agency,⁢ citing ⁣Mehr News agency and Al Jazeera, Rafael Grossi, Director General of the⁤ International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), referred to IranS⁣ readiness to restart some ⁤technical talks.

He said: “Iran ‍has facilities and activities that require clarification. It is necessary to restore relations with Iran, and the provisions of the Nuclear ‌Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) ‌underscore the ⁤obligation to allow inspections. Iran has stated its willingness⁢ to resume some technical-level negotiations.”

Simultaneously occurring, today Ismail⁣ Baqaei, spokesperson for the Ministry ⁣of Foreign Affairs, addressing⁤ reports about a senior IAEA‌ official’s upcoming visit to Iran and a potential inspection of nuclear sites damaged in attacks, said: “The⁤ Deputy ⁤Director General’s trip ⁤to Tehran is planned and will likely take place ⁢within a few weeks. ⁣The purpose is⁣ consultations on drafting a new cooperative framework between Iran and the IAEA. There are no plans for visits⁣ to nuclear facilities damaged by illegal‍ attacks from the United States and the Zionist regime.”

Baqaei also commented on current cooperation between ⁣Iran and the IAEA: “iran’s suspension of cooperation with the agency results directly from illegal and aggressive actions ‍by Israel ‍and America. These assaults violate both the UN ‍Charter and international law. Attacking peaceful iranian nuclear sites severely undermines non-proliferation efforts while compromising safety at these facilities.‌ The international community must condemn these attacks on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, hold perpetrators⁢ accountable for this situation.”

Baqaei emphasized: “Iran remains a party to both the Non-Proliferation Treaty and its‍ Comprehensive ⁤Safeguards Agreement. However, following ⁣recent illegal attacks by Israel and america against peaceful Iranian nuclear installations, our engagement framework with the IAEA is now governed by⁢ legislation recently passed by‍ Parliament. This law⁤ conditions cooperation on obtaining permits through coordination⁢ with ‍the ⁤Supreme National⁢ Security Council.”

  • Jewish Institute: Israel Intercepted Only 201 of Iran’s 574 Missiles

Jewish Institute: Israel Intercepted Only 201 of Iran’s 574 Missiles

An⁢ analysis by an American think tank reveals that Washington will need three to eight years ⁤to replenish it’s missile interceptor systems after countering Iranian missiles fired at Israel.

According⁤ to the English section of webangah News ‌Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, the Jewish Institute for National Security of America⁢ (JINSA) reported that during last month’s military confrontation with Iran, the U.S.⁤ military fired about⁣ 14 percent‍ of its long-range THAAD interceptors. The full replenishment of these stocks could take ⁤three to eight years.

The report states that in Iran’s missile attack on Israel, the U.S. deployed 92 THAAD missiles to intercept Iranian ballistic ‍missiles-a ⁣meaningful portion of the 632 total‌ available in its arsenal.

According to this analysis, THAAD systems accounted for roughly half of all interceptors launched in defense ‍of Israel.

U.S.and Israeli air defenses intercepted and destroyed 201 out of 574 missiles launched by Iran. ⁢However, high consumption rates have raised⁤ concerns about America’s defensive capability against potential future crises, especially in the Indo-Pacific region.

Ari Secural, ⁢JINSA’s deputy director for foreign policy and author of the‌ report, said the recent operation sent a clear message to Tehran, Moscow, ⁣and beijing:⁤ Washington will not hesitate in defending its closest ally in the Middle East.

Nonetheless, he emphasized that Washington must urgently rebuild its defense reserves-not⁤ only restoring them to previous ⁤levels but surpassing them.

Secural also noted that each THAAD missile costs approximately $12.7 million and that procurement progress remains slow.

Estimates indicate that this year the U.S. will receive only 23 new THAAD interceptors; by fiscal year 2026’s end it is expected ‌to acquire an additional 25-37 units.

The sale of American weapons systems within the region-to countries such as Saudi Arabia and⁢ Qatar-poses challenges for rebuilding domestic stockpiles. For example, a $15⁣ billion contract with Riyadh includes delivery of seven THAAD batteries and 360 interceptor missiles. Qatar is also set to receive part of these systems under a $42 billion agreement with Washington.

The report further highlights periods when ‌more than 60 percent of launches involved THAAD missiles coincided with a one-to-four percent increase in Iranian strike success rates-potentially indicating performance limitations under sustained assault conditions.

JINSA’s analysis notes that many Iranian missiles struck non-populated areas during this conflict.

During these hostilities, ‌U.S. forces also employed Patriot systems-firing around thirty interceptors-to‌ protect Al Udeid Air⁣ Base in Qatar.

Secural pointed out that although Patriot missiles are less expensive and produced faster than THAADs, they lack equivalent regional coverage capabilities offered by SHORAD platforms like THAAD.

The report concludes with a ⁤warning: ‍substantially lowered interceptor stock levels may compel Congress to allocate additional funding for their replenishment-notably as America faces simultaneous military⁢ challenges across multiple global theaters.

Pejman: We Are Ready to Strike Deep into Israel Again; We Reject Any Threats

iran’s President emphasized in an exclusive interview with Al Jazeera that Tehran⁣ is prepared for any⁢ Israeli military action, and Iranian forces are ready to strike deep inside Israel again.

Iranian President Masoud ⁢Pezeshkian told al Jazeera‌ in an ⁤exclusive interview, ‍as reported by the English section⁣ of webangah News Agency ⁣ citing Mehr News Agency, that the country’s forces‌ stand ready to target Israel’s ‍occupied territories once more.

Pezeshkian stated: “We are prepared ‌for any ⁣Israeli military action. Our forces ⁢are ready to strike deep inside⁤ Israel again. Israel has inflicted⁤ blows ⁣on us, and we have hit back powerfully, but they hide their casualties.”

He added:‍ “Israel aimed to⁣ change, fragment, and ⁢eliminate Iran by creating chaos and destroying ⁢our government but failed. Undoubtedly ‍there have been infiltrations within our country; however, these‌ were driven mainly by‌ American technology and its exploitation.”

The‍ president continued: “We do ‌not seek‌ war ⁤but do not rely solely‍ on ceasefire ⁣certainty. ⁣We will ⁢defend ourselves ⁤decisively. Israel suppresses any ⁢discussion about the success⁢ of our missile strikes; yet ‌its‍ calls to end the war reveal a lot.”

pezeshkian noted: “Iran has neither surrendered nor will it. That is clear to all. Yet⁤ we believe in⁤ diplomacy and dialog. Regional countries have never taken such a supportive stance ⁤toward Iran as during the recent conflict.”

He stressed: “Any future negotiations must be based⁤ on win-win⁣ logic; we reject threats or⁣ ultimatums. Former U.S. President Donald Trump says iran should not possess nuclear weapons-and we‍ accept that statement too-but claiming our nuclear program has⁢ ended is an illusion. Our nuclear capabilities‍ lie‍ not just in facilities but in ⁣the minds of our scientists.”

Regarding ⁣Tehran’s strike on the U.S.-operated Al udeid Air Base in Qatar, Pezeshkian clarified: “We did not attack Qatar nor could we do so. Qatar ⁤is like a sister country; its ‍people⁢ are like brothers‌ whom we support fully from every angle. We struck at a⁤ U.S‌ base ‌responsible for bombing our country-not at ‌Qatar itself.

I understand Qatari sentiments regarding these events which is why I spoke directly with my brother-the Emir of Qatar-by phone. ⁢Our intentions ⁣toward‌ Qatar remain good-hearted and fraternal;⁣ we stand ready to ‌assist them in any capacity.”

Commenting on ‍an assassination attempt against him, Pezeshkian said: “That incident⁣ was part of Israeli efforts‌ targeting ⁤political leaders ‍after ‌moving against military ⁢commanders.”

  • Islamic Republic of Iran is well-equipped in both diplomatic and military fields

Islamic Republic of Iran is well-equipped in both diplomatic and military fields

Imam Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, met with the head and top officials of the Judiciary Branch, along with chief justices from across the country this morning, July 16, 2025, in the Imam Khomeini (ra) Hussainiyah.

In this meeting, the Leader analyzed the Iranian nation’s tremendous achievement in the recent imposed war and highlighted the collapse of the aggressors’ calculations and schemes. Referring to the magnificent unity of the Iranian people across various political and ideological spectrums in defense of dear Iran, he emphasized: “Safeguarding this national unity is a responsibility upon all.”

Imam Khamenei stated: “The great act of the people in the 12-day war stemmed from national determination, resolve, and self-confidence. The very spirit of readiness to confront a power like America and its rabid dog — the Zionist regime — is immensely valuable.” The Leader of the Islamic Revolution stressed that both friends and foes must realize that the Iranian nation will never enter any arena as the weaker side. He continued: “We possess all the necessary tools — reasoning, and military capability alike. Therefore, whether in the field of diplomacy or the battlefield, whenever we step in, by God’s grace, we will enter with strength.”

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution stressed that both friends and foes must realize that the Iranian nation will never enter any arena as the weaker side. He continued: “We possess all the necessary tools — reasoning, and military capability alike. Therefore, both in the field of diplomacy and the battlefield, whenever we step in, by God’s grace, we will enter with strength.” He added: “Though we deem the Zionist regime a cancer and the US a criminal for backing it, we did not seek war. However, whenever the enemy attacked, our response was firm and crushing.” Imam Khamenei cited the Zionist regime’s appeal to the United States as clear evidence of the strength of Iran’s retaliatory blow. He said: “If the Zionist regime had not been brought to its knees, if it were capable of defending itself, it wouldn’t have run to the US for help. But it realized it could not stand against the Islamic Republic.”

Regarding Iran’s reciprocal strike against American aggression, the Leader described it as “a highly sensitive and strategic blow.” He noted: “The target hit by Iran was one of America’s most critical centers in the region. When the media blackout is lifted, it will become evident what a heavy blow was struck. And indeed, an even greater blow could be delivered — against the US or others.”

Highlighting the emergence of a national phenomenon during the recent war, Imam Khamenei said this presence foiled the enemy’s plans. He explained: “The aggressors assumed that by targeting certain key individuals and centers in Iran, they would weaken the system. They planned to then unleash their dormant proxies — from hypocrites and monarchists to thugs — stirring unrest and dragging people into the streets to overthrow the Islamic system.” He continued: “In reality, the opposite of the enemy’s design unfolded. It became evident that many of the assumptions of some individuals in political fields and the like were also incorrect.”

The Leader emphasized that the mask had fallen from the face of the aggressor, and their hidden goals were exposed to the public. He said: “God nullified their plots and drew the people into the field in support of the government and the Islamic system. Contrary to the enemy’s expectations, they provided both financial and life support to the system.”

He considered the unity formed by individuals of varying religious influence and even opposing political leanings as a “tremendous national cohesion,” emphasizing the necessity of preserving this profound unity. The Leader of the Islamic Revoloution called on officials to continue their work with full vigor and spirit. Quoting the Quranic verse “Allah will surely help those who help Him,” he said: “All should know: God has guaranteed His support for the Iranian nation under the Islamic system and under the banner of the Quran and Islam. This nation will, without doubt, be victorious.”

In the latter part of his speech, the Leader underscored the necessity of legal action regarding the war crimes committed by the Zionist regime during the recent conflict. He stated: “The Judiciary must pursue the recent crimes seriously, with precision, and full awareness through both international and domestic courts, taking all aspects into account.”

At the beginning of the meeting, Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Mohseni Ejei, Head of the Judiciary, presented a report on the Judiciary’s recent performance.
